Project Missouri Girls Lacrosse Expands Leadership Team with Hiring of Jennifer Williams as Girls Youth Program Coordinator

St. Louis, MO – July 8, 2025 — Project Missouri Girls Lacrosse, the state’s newest and most ambitious initiative to grow the game for female athletes, proudly announces the addition of Jennifer Williams as Girls Youth Program Coordinator.

Williams, a standout St. Louis native and former Division I athlete, will lead youth-level development while also supporting Project Missouri’s top competitive teams and long-term strategic vision.

A graduate of MICDS, Williams earned All-American honors and was named to the St. Louis All-Decade Team, cementing her legacy as one of the area’s most impactful players. She went on to compete at the University of Vermont, where she helped guide UVM to its first-ever America East Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. Williams concluded her collegiate career as the 2022 team MVP.

With over eight years of coaching experience across youth, middle school, and high school levels, Williams brings a deep understanding of player development and a passion for teaching the game the right way from the start.

“Jennifer is a foundational hire for our program,” said Lauren Ottensmeyer, Managing Director of Project Missouri Girls Lacrosse. “She understands the power of youth development, and her impact as both a player and coach will be felt across every level of our program. She’s exactly the kind of leader who will inspire the next generation.”

In her new role, Williams will lead introductory clinics, training programs, and grassroots outreach across the region, while also supporting the growth of elite-level teams in the years ahead.

“I’ve seen what’s possible when girls are given the right training, support, and opportunity,” said Williams. “Project Missouri is building something special, and I’m excited to help create an environment where young athletes fall in love with the game and grow into the best versions of themselves—on and off the field.”

Project Missouri Girls Lacrosse launches programming in fall 2025. Tryout dates, clinic registration, and program details will be announced at www.projectmissourilacrosse.com.
